PDF Pattern Leather Horse Skull Bag
The PDF contains a 15 page pattern to make your own leather horse skull bag. The stitching on this project is a little more challenging than my other patterns so I would not recommend this for beginners.
The skull is about 19" at in length, about 11 " at the tallest and about 9" at the widest. I used about 5.2 square feet of leather to make the skull. The harness is removable and is made from a stiff 5-6 oz like the skull. The handles are made from and 8 oz bridle leather. It has pretty intricate interlocking parts, so if you're confused where to start the stitch, refer to the pattern, it has the holes marked.
This project requires:
- 5-6 oz stiff leather (for the skull and the harness)
- 8 oz leather for handles
- 1-2 oz thin leather for zipper cover (no stretch)
- 9 mm cap rivets 24
- 0.8mm thread
- 1inch x .75in rectangle rings 4
- 1.5 inch O rings 6
- 12.5 inch #5 zipper ( plus a little more to secure the zipper on)
- 1 inch buckle
