PDF Pattern Leather Turtle Shell Backpack

$34.00

The PDF contains a 12 page pattern to make your own leather turtle shell backpack. The stitching on this project is almost entirely made up of saddle stitching except for one little V cut. If theres an area that you did not understand in the build along video, please contact me.

The bag is about 17" in length, about 8 " at the tallest and about 13" at the widest but the bag portion is only about 14" by 11" I used about 3 square feet of the green leather and another 3 square feet of the black leather to make the backpack. Straps are made from and 8 oz bridle leather. There are a lot of small pieces that belong in their own specific area so please keep track of which piece is which.

This project requires:

- 5-6 oz regular to stiff for the shell/scute pieces (the green)
- 4-5 oz regular temper for the rest (although I used 4-5oz for my bag, you can make the entire bag out of 5-6 oz if you do not want to use multiple leather)
- 8 oz leather for straps
- 9 mm cap rivets 8
- 0.8mm thread
- 1inch rectangle rings 4 (only 2 is required if you're using a center bar buckle)
- 1 inch buckle 2
- 20.5 inch #5 zipper ( plus a little more to secure the zipper on)
